Burning Coal Vein
This site is named for the fire smoldering in the coal layer several feet underground. Although the coal vein is no longer burning, the effects are still visible. The site offers a scenic lookout of the Columnar Junipers and a short trail just south of the campground. This site also serves as the south trailhead of the Maah Daah Hey Trail.
