Bowman County is comprised of four towns; Rhame, Scranton, Gascoyne and the largest, Bowman, a regional commerce center which draws from North Dakota, northwest South Dakota and eastern Montana.  Our county has accessible land, infrastructure, cooperative Government and a growing economy.  Bowman County’s roots have always been in agriculture, but we are also a booming energy sector.  We are a leading oil producing county in North Dakota, the number two producing state in the Nation. Also, we have large coal reserves, uranium deposits and a 20 MW wind farm.  Bowman is a shopping and service center, as well as a clean, friendly residential center known for low crime, pollution and plenty of recreational opportunities.
