Second Annual Bowman County Classic a Success!

With over 320 athletes participating in the second annual Bowman County Classic Basketball Tournament April 20 and 21, Bowman was filled with excitement. The two-day event saw 33 teams from across Noth Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana.

Businesses saw added customers as players and families ate, shopped, and enjoyed local recreation activities between games. This supports the mission of the Bowman Area Chamber of Commerce to increase commerce for Bowman area businesses.

“It was great to see the increase in commerce to our local businesses. So many businesses sponsored the event and extended their hours. We couldn’t have hosted a great tournament without them,” said Brooklyn Engelhart, Bowman Area Chamber of Commerce.

Games were played at Bowman County High School and the Rouzie Recreation Center. Teams of both boys and girls in the 4th,5th, 6th, and 7th grades played from 8 am to 6pm.  Three games were always running.
