Barnyard Parade a Success

Barnyard Parade a Success

Families lined the sides of Main Street in eager anticipation of the barnyard coming their way. With over 19 organizations participating in the parade plus Bowman, Scranton, and Rhame Fire Departments; Bowman Ambulance; Bowman County Sheriff; and the Legion clubs, it was an exciting display. This year’s theme was Barnyard and in the heart of agriculture country it did not disappoint. Real and inflatable animals and real ones on nearly every float; it was clear people leaned into the theme.

The parade was led by the American Legion Clubs carrying the Friend of the Fair, Fred Naas. Naas had the difficult, but enjoyable, job of deciding the float winners. Bronson’s Marketplace took home the first place title, Double EE Services received second place, and 4-H Stampeding Lads and Lassie brought home third.

The Bowman County Fair Parade is hosted by Bowman Area Chamber of Commerce and supported by the many local businesses, whose participation makes it a great time for the community.
