27 Oct Group Gathers for Annual Ag Celebration
The 4 Seasons Pavilion in Bowman, ND once again filled with people ready to celebrate ag in Bowman, Slope, and Harding Counties. The evening focused on agriculture with a special highlight and congratulations given to Laureen Stuber from Bowman, North Dakota as the 2022 Farmer/Rancher of the Year.
Honoring a Farmer/Rancher of the Year is a tradition that has taken place for over 30 years and will continue to be celebrated for many more. Honorees are nominated from the community and selected by the Bowman Area Chamber of Commerce Ag Committee. Laureen Stuber was selected as the 2022 honoree for her significant agricultural contributions.
Laureen noted her appreciation of the award and the honor to receive the award she saw her parents Lawrence and Frances Faris received in 1999.
Following the award ceremony, Katie Pinke from Agweek had the crowd laughing with stories from North Dakota. She shared the importance of the ag community and how it comes together unlike any other.
The evening consisted of a social hour, a meal that was prepared and served by the Chamber Ag Committee, the presentation of the 2022 Farmer/Rancher of the Year, and entertainment by Katie Pinke.
Bowman Area Chamber of Commerce’s Ag Committee includes Beth Criswell, Cory Blaser, Bob White, Wayne Bergquist, Josh Lindstrom, Melissa Lindstrom, Scott Martian, Tanner Fischer, Scott Lardy, Becky Brooks, John Lathum, Casey Wallman, Jay Soreide, and Andi Yearout.
