Spring 2025 Ware Fair a Success, Showcasing Young Talent and Entrepreneurial Spirit
Bowman, ND – (March 2025) – The Bowman County Roosevelt Gym and Commons was buzzing with energy on the morning of March 18 as the Spring 2025 Ware Fair brought together over 50 young entrepreneurs and hundreds of enthusiastic shoppers for a morning of creativity, commerce, and community. The event featured an impressive array of handmade crafts, baked goods, artwork, jewelry, and other DIY items, all dreamed up, designed, and sold by 3rd through 6th grade students.
Hosted by Bowman County Development Corporation in partnership with the North Dakota Small Business Development Centers and Bowman County School, the Ware Fair is part of a broader effort to build a culture of entrepreneurship in southwest North Dakota. Students received hands-on experience with pricing, marketing, customer service, and money-handling, valuable business skills wrapped in a fun, real-world learning environment.
“This event showcases the incredible creativity and drive of our local students,” said Sarah Nagel, Director of Business Development at Bowman County Development Corporation. “We’re not just selling crafts—we’re helping build the next generation of entrepreneurs right here in our rural community.”
The overwhelming turnout and student sales are a testament to the community’s strong support and belief in the potential of our young creators. Inspired by this year’s success, we are already exploring opportunities to expand the program to Rhame Elementary and Scranton School in the future.
Thank you to everyone who came out to shop, support, and celebrate our student entrepreneurs!
