Rock n Roll Parade a Crowd Pleaser

Rock n Roll Parade a Crowd Pleaser

Bowman’s Main Street was lined with families eagerly anticipating the Fair Parade on July 14. This year’s parade was led by Fire Departments from Bowman, Scranton, and Rhame; Bowman Ambulance; Bowman County Sherriff; Bowman City Police; and the American Legion clubs. The  Rock n Roll theme saw fun and creative floats. In addition to all of the fire departments, police, ambulance, and car club there were 19 businesses that participated with their very own Rock n Roll Float.

Prizes for first, second, and third place floats were given out. This difficult but enjoyable decision went to the 2024 Friend of the Fair, Dan and Chris Peterson. First place was awarded to ProPoint Cooperative, 4-H Stampeding Lads and Lassies captured second place, and Bronson’s Marketplace and Liquor rounded out the competition in third place.

The Dakota Territory Car Club added to the Rock n Roll spirit with 14 of their classic cars as a preview of the Dakota Territory Car Show in Bowman on July 27.

The Bowman County Fair Parade is hosted by Bowman Area Chamber of Commerce. We want to give a heartfelt thank you to all the organizations, businesses, and individuals who contribute so generously of their time, talent, and services to make the parade such a fun and enjoyable time!
