North Dakota High School Rodeo Finals Hosted in Bowman

North Dakota High School Rodeo Finals Hosted in Bowman

(Bowman, ND) – Bowman Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the North Dakota High School Rodeo Finals June 12- 16. This is the 37th year Bowman has hosted this event! Students from across the state work throughout their high school rodeo season to qualify for the state finals and a chance at the national competition. The week starts off with Rifle and Trap Shoot, Cutting Performances, and Reining Performances. Over the course of the weekend there are five main rodeo performances.

The grandstands were full of family, friends, and spectators excited to watch top-notch, high school cowboys and cowgirls. The rodeo weekend is complete with concessions, vendors, and commemorative clothing. This event would not be possible without the support of local businesses who contribute so generously both financially and with time from them and their employees. From the Bowman Ambulance and Fire Department to the volunteers working the ground and everything in between, we are blessed with amazing volunteers.

Performance sponsors include Bowman Sales and Service, Bowman and Slope Soil Conservation District, Dakota Community Bank and Trust, Dakota West Credit Union, Dakota Western Bank, Frontier Travel Center, and West Plains, Inc.

A huge congratulations to all of our local students who participated in the finals! Best of luck to all of the contestants who get to participate on the national level July 14 -20 in Wyoming.
