04 May New Program to Help Businesses Capture Tourism Traffic
Bowman County Development Corporation released the Hospitality Website Loan Program early May. This program will assist hospitality related businesses in Bowman County in creating a website to best showcase their services. This specifically addresses one of the five goals outlined in Bowman County’s 2022-2027 Strategic Growth Plan to “Prioritize Tourism as an Industry”.
This program provides a forgivable loan to restaurants, bars, entertainment businesses, and hotels to create or update a business website to include specific items. This will provide ease for tourists during their visit.
It is proven that 88% of consumers who search for a type of business on a mobile device call or go to that business within 24 hours. However, a well-designed, mobile-friendly website is very important as 57% of internet users say they won’t recommend a business with a poorly designed website on mobile.
This program will help hospitality businesses increase their reach and service to not only visitors, but locals as well. This is one of the many programs being released that relates directly to the most recent county-wide strategic plan. The Hospitality Website Loan Program is funded by the City of Bowman Restaurant and Lodging Tax and BCDC’s Growth Fund.
