Job Overview:

We’re looking for someone to help keep Bowman’s newly planted trees happy and hydrated this summer! You’ll care for about 80 young trees along Highway 12 and around town by filling their 20-gallon watering bags using a provided truck and watering rig.

This is a flexible, independent job, ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes initiative, and wants to make a visible impact in our community.

What You’ll Do:

  • Use a soil moisture meter to determine watering needs
  • Fill tree watering bags 1–2 times per week (based on weather)
  • Track soil and watering conditions throughout the season
  • Keep equipment clean and in good shape

Schedule:

  • May–October
  • Approximately 20 – 24 hours/week during May and 12 – 14 hours/week during June (Roughly 250–270 hours total)
  • Watering frequency depends on weather, busiest time will be in May
  • You can complete watering all in one day or split it up, whatever works best for you

Requirements:

  • Age 18+ with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Able to be insured by the city
  • Self-motivated and able to work alone
  • Able to haul hoses and handle some light physical labor
  • Willing to use a soil meter and follow a simple schedule
  • Manual transmission experience is a bonus (we have both manual and automatic vehicle options)

You’ll check in with Brooklyn (via text or call) as needed. No office hours, just a flexible gig where you’re trusted to get the job done.
