Police Chief Charles R. Headley
The Bowman Police Department has a current authorized sworn force of four officers, including the Chief of Police. The Bowman Police Department provides 24 hour response police protection. Criminal complaints are initially handled by the on duty or on call patrol officer with follow-up investigations, if needed, conducted by an assigned officer or the Chief of Police. The Bowman Police Dept also provides the community with several safety programs including bicycle safety, drug awareness, and child identification programs. Additionally seminars and other programs are provided to the business community in the areas of theft, shoplifting and fraudulent checks.
The Bowman Police Department exits to provide quality police service and protection with dignity and respect for all. It is the mission of this department that we adhere to our 10 point primary goal of policing values.

This year millions of school children around the world will benefit from D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education), the highly acclaimed program that gives kids the skills they need to avoid involvement in drugs, gangs, and violence.
D.A.R.E. was founded in 1983 and has proven so successful that it has been implemented in thousands of schools throughout the United States and many other countries.
D.A.R.E. is a police officer-led series of classroom lessons that teaches children from kindergarten through 12th grade how to resist peer pressure and live productive drug and violence-free lives.
