Agricultural Celebration for All

Agricultural Celebration for All

The annual Agriculture Appreciation Banquet will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 and will honor the 2022 Farmer/Rancher of the Year, Laureen Stuber. This banquet is free and an open invitation is extended to all especially those in Bowman, Slope, and Harding Counties. Not only will Stuber be recognized, but agriculture as the backbone of our communities will be celebrated.

The annual celebration is hosted by Bowman Area Chamber of Commerce. Join the celebration at the 4 Seasons Pavilion in Bowman, ND. The social will begin at 5:30 pm with an open bar until dinner at 6:00 pm. The award presentation will start at 7:15 pm and will be followed by evening entertainment by Katie Pinke from Agweek.

Laureen Stuber, 2022 Farmer/Rancher of the Year, was born in Bowman and grew up on the family farm south of Bowman with her parents Lawrence and Frances Faris and brother Lowell Faris. Laureen graduated from Bowman High School in 1961, and attended the National School of Business in Rapid City, SD.

Laureen married Richard (Dick) Stuber on May 4, 1963 and they raised two children, Wendy and Duane. They lived on a ranch north of Bowman where Laureen continued to live after Dick passed away in 1998.

Laureen has been very involved in 4-H, ND Jr Hereford, and served as a board member for Cottage School. Laureen is a member of the Bowman Methodist Church, ND Stockmen’s Association, ND Cattlewomen, National Cattlemen’s Beef Assocation, ND Cowboy Hall of Fame, ND Hereford Women, and the American Herford Women. She continues to volunteer for the ND High School Rodeo Finals in Bowman, the Slope County Fair, and her church.

It is an honor to recognize Laureen and her many devoted hours to the ag industry. Please join in the celebration at the 2022 Ag Appreciation Banquet. The agricultural business is at the very heart of Bowman, Slope, and Harding Counties. Help us show them all just how much we appreciate the long hours and hard work they put in. The life of a farmer/rancher is never easy, but the gift they give to all of us is worth it.
