Butte View Campground is owned by the city of Bowman and operated by Bowman Parks and Recreation. We have made several improvements to the campground including full hookups and pull-thru sites.
There are 54 electrical sites on 8 acres with mature trees and camp host on site. Modern bathrooms, showers, water, dump station, playground, and a picnic shelter for gatherings are available for guests.

A Stay longer than 2 weeks must be approved by Director. Butteview Campground reserves the right to refuse service.

This 10-unit campground has parking pads up to 60 feet long. There is access to potable water and a handicap accessible vault toilet. Camping is on a first-come, first serve basis. Enjoy hiking the Burning Coal Vein Trail while there which serves as the south trailhead of the Maah Daah Hey Trail.

The 1,740-acres v-shaped Bowman-Haley Lake offers year-round recreational opportunities. Three recreation areas were developed which attract campers, boaters, fishermen, hunters, and others for whom the outdoors holds a fascination. Recreation facilities are available at the lake range from scenic picnic sites to overnight camping.
Bowman Haley Dam Marina, located on the north shore of Bowman Haley Reservoir, offers a smoke-free, family environment with a restaurant, bar, convenience store, and shower. For information call 701-275-6316.

Gascoyne Lake: 1.5 miles northwest of Gascoyne (pike).
Kalina Dam: 2 miles west, 1 mile south, 1 mile west, 1 mile south of Bowman (pike, perch, bluegill, no ramp).
Lutz Dam: 2.5 miles south, 2 miles west of Griffin (trout, bluegill, largemouth bass – no ramp).
Spring Lake: 1 mile south, 4 miles west of Rhame (pike, perch).
Cedar Lake: 13 miles north, 2 miles west of Reeder (pike, perch).
Davis Dam: 16 miles west, 4 miles north of Amidon (trout, bluegill, largemouth bass).
