Optometrist Opening Practice in Bowman
Essential services are key to a community’s vitality.  The Bowman region experienced a void in services when the optometrist closed its doors.  The Bowman County Development Corporation was responsive to this need and made efforts to bring eye care services back to the region.

On a trip north to visit his clinic, Lemmon Eye Care, Dr. James Trimble connected with Bowman.  He was familiar with the community and had always been impressed with the amount of activity.   Dr. Trimble operates Black Hills Vision Care of Belle Fourche and has experience with a satellite clinic located in Lemmon, SD.  He felt that there was opportunity to open an additional satellite location in Bowman.  With the assistance of the Bowman County Development Corporation, the search began for an appropriate location, financial packaging and an optometrist to service the Bowman Location.

The partnership between Dr. Trimble and Sarah Stuchl, the optometrist that will be providing services in Bowman, started long before 2014.  Dr. Trimble was her eye doctor growing up and she had been a Tech while she attended Black Hills State University for her undergrad.  Sarah is excited to start a new level of partnership with Dr. Trimble.  A Harding County High School graduate, Sarah is enjoying the opportunity to be closer to home.    After extensive exploration, a location was secured in the G.G.’s Closet building and renovations are currently in progress.

Focus Eye Care looks forward to servicing the community of Bowman and will be open Monday thru Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.  They will offer comprehensive eye exams, optical with frames, and medical eye diagnosis and treatment.  Additional information on services and appointment times will be available when the clinic opens the beginning of this fall.
